Liberty Junior Football is a youth football organization that serves children who live in the Issaquah School District and would attend Liberty High School based on school boundaries. Liberty is a proud member of the Greater Eastside Junior Football Association.

What we teach our young athletes: 

Football is a unique sport in that every individual contributes to the team's collective success. A lineman has to make his block to free the running back. A linebacker has to read properly to put himself into a position to make a play for the rest of his teammates. Through these individual responsibilities, the player develops important team-building and life skills. Some of these life skills include personal responsibility, attention to detail, conflict resolution, self-reflection, mental and physical toughness, teamwork, goal setting, and personal resolve.

When does the season start and what's the commitment? 

Our season starts August 3rd and runs through mid-November. In general, the teams practice 4 days a week until school starts then drop down to three days a week with a game every Saturday (first game is Sept 5th). Each team plays a minimum of nine games and may play additional games in the playoffs. The GEJFA championship games will be played on November 14th.

Who can play Liberty Junior Tackle Football? 

To be eligible to play in the 2026 season without a waiver, a player must have been born on or before July 31, 2018, but not before August 1, 2011, and live within the Liberty High School boundary. With Club approval and parental waiver, a 7-year-old who weighs at least 60 pounds may play. No experience is necessary. Both boys and girls are welcome. The cost is $600 (April - May 31), which will increase to $650 on June 1 for the 2026 season.

Who can play Liberty Flag Football?  

Our flag football program is geared toward our 1st-2nd graders who live within the Liberty High School boundary. The cost is $199 for the 2026 season.
